I don’t know who this poem is by, but it’s great.
With your lifes goals you may not go in a straight line, you may have to change direction, you may have to pause and think and even take a short break, but just…
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns;
And many a person turns about,
When they might have won had they stuck it out.
Don’t give though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victors’ cup;
And he learned to late when the night came down,
How close he was to golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.
Whatever you’re doing or going for or want to go for, just go for it like a dozy puppy trying to get a treat off of a table! I mean that in the sense of, if you keep falling down, just take it lightly, laugh at yourself as if you was watching yourself and go again, you may need to change angle, but just keep going at it, like you are enjoying the keeping at it, you will make it.
Peace and persistance.
